BathA day at Manalia
The question everyone asks when they leave their dog with someone: what is he doing right now? A full day, doing everything he likes.
He goes out as many times as he needs, spread through the day.
He only eats what you bring, in the amount and at the times you tell us.
Whenever he has the energy, he plays and romps with every dog he gets along with.
So that this feels like his home too.
The house
At Manalia your dog lives in a house, sharing it with people around him all the time. He eats at his usual time, goes out for walks, plays when he feels like it and sleeps indoors. His life does not change when he gets here, only the place does.
Before he arrives you tell us what he is like: what he eats and how much, how he behaves, when he walks, what he likes to play with, what scares him and where he likes to lie down. We build his day around that. The more you tell us, the more his week here looks like his week with you.
We keep you posted at all times on how he is and what he is doing. Every day we send photos and videos so you can watch him play, watch him eat and see what he is up to.
Services
Drop-off and pick-up the same day, within the 7:00 to 22:00 window. For long days away from home.

Up to 20 kg / over 20 kg
We collect him and bring him back within Playa del Carmen. The price depends on the area and the time.
Prices

The day rate means drop-off and pick-up within the same window: 7:00 to 22:00. The cost of the pass is worked out from the dog\u2019s weight, on his day rate. Take a dog of up to 10 kg: the 10-day pass is 2,000 instead of 2,500, and the 100-day pass brings the day down to 170. A pass only applies to dogs of the same weight; its validity and the rest of the conditions are in the FAQ.
Long stays
Whether you bring him every week or you are away for a season, you do not pay for every extra day.
How to book
On WhatsApp, with the dates and his weight. And you tell us three things:
We tell you whether there is room on those dates and what the stay costs. The stay must be covered in full before the dog arrives.
On the day you arrive with his food and his leash, and if you can, with everything that makes him feel at home: his food and water bowls, his bed. You tell us his schedule and off you go.
Drop-off and pick-up every day, from 7:00 to 22:00.
How we look after him
What they say
It was the first time we had left Tobi at a daycare and I was quite afraid, but from the moment I contacted them they gave me a lot of confidence. I got plenty of videos and photos of my dog during the day, and I saw him play more than he does with me. They gave him back exhausted from all the playing. We will definitely be back: now I know who to leave him with when I am away.
My dog has been staying at their house every weekend for several months. On Friday night, when I get home, she already knows where we are going and starts wagging her tail; she practically wants to get out of the car by herself when we arrive, to go and play with the other dogs. When I pick her up on Sunday she is always very happy and sleeps like a log the next day.
If I had to say what I like most about the place, it would be the communication. When I leave my dog there I always get lots of photos and videos during the day. I like the attention they pay to the small details, and the patience they always have with me, since I tend to be very intense about my dog's care.
Our dog is very fearful and had never been around other dogs. Even we sometimes struggle to catch him, and we nicknamed him the escape artist. We asked them to help him become more sociable and little by little they brought him together with other dogs. After a few weeks he plays completely with the rest of the pack and you can feel how happy he is. I would go as far as to say he has made very good friends.
We left our two dogs with them for over a week because we travelled to Vallarta, and nothing could have gone better. They kept sending us updates on the dogs through the day and on what they were doing: when they went for a walk, played, ate or slept. We found them very happy when we got back. We asked them to give them back bathed and they did. All correct, and without the stress we had had at other daycares.
I have a husky, he is big and very playful; being so heavy he can sometimes be dangerous because he can knock you over. He is not neutered, which can make him hard to handle for some people. At this daycare they knew how to handle him and tire him out: he played a huge amount, and he did it with other dogs too, something I had never dared to try. He is very intense and needs a lot of attention, and they gave it to him. I could not be more grateful.
Something I love, and that makes me laugh, is that they refer to my dog as sir. They always call him Mister Queso when they talk about him. They treat him with a lot of love and a lot of respect, and that is something you notice and appreciate. He has a lot of quirks with food: you always have to give it to him with a tin of tuna, because otherwise he will not eat. During the stay the tins I brought ran out, and his kibble too, and they went and bought more. I could not be more grateful. I will be leaving him with them again on my next holiday.

FAQ
Inside the house, in his own safe spot. If you authorise it, we gradually bring him into the pack so he lives with them and sleeps with them. And if you would rather he slept somewhere just for him, that is possible too.
It goes by weight. Day and night runs from 350 to 550, and day only from 250 to 450. A bath is 300 up to twenty kilos and 350 above that. Transport starts at 50, depending on the area and the time.
We need to know at least three essential things, and on all three we need the truth.
Whether he has ever attacked or bitten a person. We are sorry, but in that case we cannot take him.
Whether he has ever attacked or hurt another dog, or is aggressive with them. We need to know so we can keep him apart from the rest of the pack.
Whether at home he is a destroyer who wrecks everything in his path. We need to know so we can decide which rooms to give him access to.
Hiding that a dog is aggressive has consequences: the owner is liable for every cost and every damage arising from an attack, including another dog\u2019s veterinary bills and any compensation due if a person is hurt. And we reserve any legal action that applies, because it puts whoever looks after them at risk.
It depends on how big the pass is, but the windows are long. The 10 and 25-day passes are valid for a year from purchase, the 50-day pass for two years and the 100-day pass for three years. The days are not tied to any date: you use them whenever you like within that window. A pass only applies to dogs of the same weight, because the day rate goes by weight. Days left unused when the window closes are not refunded.
If your dog dies, the days left on the pass are not lost: they pass to whichever dog you have now or come to have, or to the person you tell us. And if you would rather we refunded what is left, that is possible too.
Past the departure date we carry on looking after the dog and we keep trying to reach you and your emergency contact, in writing and by phone. If seven days go by from the departure date with no reply of any kind, the dog is considered abandoned and we hand him to a fostering association to find him a family, or to the municipal animal control centre. The days that have passed and the costs incurred remain the owner's responsibility.
We call you before doing anything. If you do not answer, we call your emergency contact. And if we cannot reach anyone and your dog needs attention, we take him to the vet: leaving him in our care authorises up to 1,500 pesos in emergency veterinary costs without needing your consent, settled on collection. Above that amount we do nothing without speaking to you first.
A dog that is aggressive with people we do not take. A dog that is reactive or aggressive with other dogs we look at case by case and subject to availability: he can stay with a space of his own. What cannot happen is that we find out on arrival. If you hide it from us, we can end the stay, and the damage stays with the owner.
Tell us before booking. If you authorise it, and with your prior assurance that he is not aggressive with other dogs, we can bring him into the pack little by little. If you would rather he was not put with any other dog, he gets his own space, calm, relaxed and safe, and you only have to say so. What matters most to us is his safety and the safety of the rest of the pack.
Yes, any size. The price goes up by weight bracket because a big dog takes more room, usually has more energy and needs more work and more attention.
Yes, you bring your dog's food. He eats only his own, in the amount and at the times you tell us. If it runs out during the stay we go and buy it and add it to the bill.
Bring it and tell us in writing which one he needs, the dose and what time we should give it to him. We give it to him and confirm every dose.
Any damage your dog causes during the stay is the owner's responsibility, as are veterinary costs, including any we advance in an emergency. That is why we insist you tell us beforehand what he is like: almost everything can be handled if we know in time.
Every day we send you photos and videos, so you see him eat, sleep, play and enjoy himself.
We are in Playa del Carmen. We send you the exact location once the booking is confirmed.
Drop-off and pick-up run from 7:00 to 22:00. If your dog is still with us at 22:00, the full day is charged and you collect him within the drop-off and pick-up hours. And if you need him handed over at night, between 22:00 and 7:00, that is possible: there is a 150 charge for attending at night.
